On March 6, 2022 excitement and anticipation filled the air as owners Joe and Lee Staehly cut the blue ribbon, officially opening the doors and welcoming guests to their highly anticipated wedding and events venue, The Blue Heron in High Point, NC. This grand opening marks a fresh new start for a space that boasts outdoor and indoor elegance to make your next event one to remember!
Guests were able to experience multiple arrangements of the space and see the true functionality of this amazing venue.
Wedding Reception
Perfectly designed for the wedding in mind, The Blue Heron is a blank slate to build your dream wedding! At the grand opening guests were able to experience the Oakview Grand Hall come to life with a curated reception design, live musical entertainment and delicious food stations. The elegant touches of nature inspired floral decor and minimalist metallic accents, alongside the dark mahogany floors brought sophistication and harmony to the space. Seeing it all dressed up to the nines had guests swooning over the possibilities of their own events to come.

The Blue Heron not only caters to weddings, but to a multitude of other events. Our team prepared a space for guests to envision the endless potential that our venue has to offer. A 40th birthday party setup complete with a golden balloon arch, stunning place settings and donut sliders, provided by our amazing in-house catering by Pepper Moon Catering, not only fulfilled your sweet tooth but helped you really see that this space is for all kinds of social gatherings!

Outdoor Space & Catering
Taking a stroll to the outdoors, our guests at the grand opening were able to enjoy outdoor cocktails on the patio space. While taking in the amazing lake view our venue has to offer, they enjoyed beer, wine and a Bloody Mary bar. Guests were blown away by our menu stacked with Caramel Onion Tarts, Cheddar Biscuits, Crispy Wonton Cigars, Thai Pesto Chicken Skewers, Fresh Butternut Squash Ravioli, Shrimp & Grits and again those Donut Sliders we’ve all been dreaming of! The last piece of the puzzle to make this event a tier above the rest was the statement blue Champagne Wall!
